Arterial blood gas test showed metabolic acidosis, liver damage (AST/ALT 256/253 units/L), bicarbonate compensation and liver support. Results after more than 1 week of treatment, the child’s condition improved gradually, was weaned from the ventilator, breathed oxygen, then breathed fresh air, sober and well fed.
